Portlyn, my most recent novel, is finally out!

Don't miss this story about a young couple's dream to live free and make a better world.  All my favorite topics, from voluntaryism and agorism to permaculture and localization are themes, and a strategy for how people could break out of the system and create a better future.  This is the first book I've published that I really want to promote, as it covers topics that I think are very important, contained in an entertaining story.

Of all the books I've written, this is the on that has the most of what I would like to say to the world within it.  It contains some very radical ideas, promoting disobedience to a corrupt system and posing some challenging spiritual philosophical questions.  For anyone with dreams of a new paradigm, this book is a must read!

I have been writing novels since I was in high school, completing my first few stories in early college.  Throughout my twenties I published three books, all quite different.  These books do not reflect my current aspirations or perspectives, as they were written before my mission in life was fully laid out.  They are fun stories though, and buying a book is a good way for people to support this website and my work.

A Savage Life
By Eric McCool

This is an historical adventure novel about a slave-born boy who was raised for much of his life by Kiowa Indians before being taken in by a professor from Boston, who wished to learn about the Kiowa language.  He goes with the professor in part because of the man's beautiful daughter, and in part because he is running from a dark past and a path of revenge that he will one day have to face up to, no matter how fine of a life he may discover in the big city.

The Branderly Agenda
By Eric McCool

A high tech sci-fi story about a community set apart, making plans to do something about the impending catastrophes threatening humanity.  New recruits to this off grid secret society, where almost all the work is done by advanced robotics and smart software, discover many mysteries beneath the amazing technology now at their disposal.  When their curiosity leads them to ask questions they find their trainers are often reluctant to provide straight answers.  Protagonist Ripler Demetrius is a hacker and computer programmer of exceptional skill, who is himself secretive and mysterious, and whose role in the society of Branderly will prove monumental once he discovers the truth about what they are attempting to accomplish.

A story about being young and partying in the heart of Los Angeles.  Protagonist Berrick Stanley runs a restaurant he created with a friend whose father bankrolled it.  While in the area, Berrick and his friend Parker, an actor, decide to make a movie out of one of the many stories Berrick has written.  Berrick also finds his way into a romantic drama when he re-connects with an old friend from growing up, on whom he had a long running adolescent crush.
