Fort Meyers was a quick stop. I was on my way to Orlando, and I was told that I should skip out on visiting Fort Meyers, but I couldn't resist. I parked next to the courthouse and took a quick walk, before heading on to Sarasota, which was supposedly a much more interesting town. The problem I have, though, is that they all interest me. The towns that are boring are, in fact, interesting because there's so little going on. But even where there's not much going on, there are still people; building buildings, planting plants, and trying to be proud of the turf they call home. To me, it's a beautiful thing. Sometimes a little bit sad, but beautiful all the same.
