St. Augustine is the oldest city in the United States. 1513 it was first settled. An old Spanish fort looks out over the water, with a cute, well maintained boutique village center nearby. This is a town not to miss. The village has an old world feel to it, with arts and crafts, candy shops and bakeries, drinks, dining, and music.
I walked about for a short while, this being a stopover as I made my way north. I toured the fort as well, which was one of the more interesting things I saw. I was also quite impressed with the campus of Flagler College, which occupies a good part of downtown, with a gorgeous castle courtyard entrance.
