What is the deep state? This is a term some of us have been using for a long time, but lately it's been getting more press than usual, perhaps because Donald Trump mentioned it on Twitter. A poll from earlier this year indicates that almost half of all Americans believe in some kind of deep state. That is to say, they believe that the most important policies are set by unseen forces that are not elected or accountable to the public, not interviewed by the press.
The real question is, who's in charge? Who really makes the decisions? Who authorized MK Ultra? Or the comprehensive surveillance program being carried out by the NSA? Or the invasion and bombing of countless countries around the world? If you believe that president really sits at the top of the pyramid, you are greatly mistaken.
Presidents come and go, and if they're smart, they do as they're told. After Kennedy's assassination, there can be no doubt what happens to presidents who go off book. Kennedy defied the true rulers of our land, and he paid the ultimate price for it. It was the deep state who had him killed.
We cannot dissect the deep state and study its anatomy. We don't really know how things work, because all of the most important things are compartmentalized and orchestrated in secrecy. But we can be fairly sure that the three branches of government, with their checks and balances, like they teach us in social studies, is pure theater. There is some real power there, but only within the parameters set by the deep state. You can vote so-and-so in, and he can propose polices, draft bills, maybe write an executive order, but he cannot stop the illegal wars, the unconstitutional spying, or the drug war. He can't fire and dismantle the federal reserve and re-institute a sound money system. These are things that are controlled by the deep state. The politician's job is to make a big show of all the less important issues, keeping the narrative limited to that which fits into the larger plan being implemented by the true rulers of our world.
I said we cannot truly know who the deep state is, but we have a general idea. The intelligence community is a big part of it. Also, non-government groups like the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, or the World Trade Organization are involved. Hillary Clinton once gave a speech admitting that the State Department takes orders from the CFR, and this a good picture of how the deep state works. The politicians are the ones who sign the bills into law and proclaim the edicts on TV, but only under the direction of their handlers from these deep state groups.
It should be obvious to anyone that powerful interests run the show from behind the scenes. Remember when Bilderberg was just a crazy conspiracy theory? Researchers and journalists were ridiculed for claiming that high ranking government officials were secretly meeting with CEOs and leaders of industry. Eventually enough photos were taken and inside information leaked to prove that these meetings do in fact take place, and now Bilderberg has a website and publishes the agenda of their meetings.
The purpose of these meetings is for the shallow-state politicians and corporate heads to be briefed by deep state representatives on what's going to be happening in the next year. The reason the meetings were kept secret, and why they still get ignored by mainstream press, is because they reveal a major aspect of how the deep state works.
If we ever wish to solve any of the major problems we face in the world, like war, poverty, and ecological destruction, we must shine light into the darkness and confront the deep state. We must find those who pull the levers from behind the curtain, and we must expose them. We must dismantle the system that they have created. We can't vote them out, but we can stop participating in their sham elections, and we can stop adhering to the policies they pass along to us from their bosses. We can stop buying from the companies we know they control, and we can start putting serious social pressure on anyone who participates in initiatory violence, especially under the guise of government legitimacy.
